Structural Repairs - 1873 Victorian

Work included replacement of lally columns and additional structural repairs.

The structure of this 1873 Victorian residence was supported by screw type lally columns, wooden posts, and missing lally columns. 
 None of which met current building code (
ICC Code 2003 Edition).   The old columns were removed, proper footings excavated, and
approved lally columns installed as well as *****  brackets used.

New Footings & Lally Columns
Each new Lally column resides on a
pad of concrete.  An expansion joint is installed
on all sides of the pad to prevent cracking / allow for expansion.  The lally column base resides on a
*****
metal plate mechanically fastened to the concrete pad.
