The columns were stripped of all old paint, re-glued, and damaged sections replaced

Base of Column Work
A common problem with porch columns is moisture and insects get into the base
of columns, leading to wood rot and eventual failure.  Columns need to have
ventilation to breath properly and remain dry.  The base of each column has
spacers made from composite material, as well as screening to allow proper
ventilation.

Top Of Porch Restoration
The corner posts on the top of the porch suffered major wood rot,  and were replaced
with custom corner posts.
