The Nahum Harwood Residence
Leominster, MA
Built in 1886, the Nahum Harwood Mansion is a classic example of the "Italianate Mansard" style of
Victorian architecture.  The mansion is one of the few surviving examples of this style of architecture in
Leominster.  Nahum Harwood was a leading  industrialist and politician in the City of Leominster in
the late 19th Century.  The residence is featured in the following publications on Leominster:

Renaissance Restorations started an extensive restoration of the mansion in 2001,
with the project completed in 2003.  The restoration included complete replacement of all clapboarding on
the mansion, painting, reconstruction of all porches, interior restoration, landscaping and additional work.

The property was considered for nomination to the National Historic Register in 2003, but later
withdrawn due to local opposition.
